Troubleshooting Remote Logging TOOLS > Log Settings > Remote Logging An external Syslog server is often used by network administrator to collect and store logs from the wireless controller. This remote device typically has less memory constraints than the local Event Viewer on the wireless controller's web management interface (see ―Wireless Controller Event Log‖ on page 230). Therefore, a number of logs can be collected over a sustained period. This is useful for debugging network issues or to monitor controller traffic over a long duration. The wireless controller supports 8 concurrent Syslog servers. Each server can be configured to receive different log facility messages of varying severity using the REMOTE LOGGING CONFIGURATION page. This page also lets you send configuration logs to 3 email recipients. 227 DWC-1000 Wireless Controller User's Guide
