PS6010 Hardware Maintenance Maintaining Disks 1. Hold the disk drive by the plastic carrier, with the handle release button to the left, and slide the disk drive partially into a slot. 2. Press the handle release button to release the handle. Open the handle. 3. With the handle at an angle, slide the disk drive completely into the slot, simultaneously pushing in the handle until you hear a click. See Figure 2-7. Figure 2-7: Closing the Disk Drive Handle Verify that the new disk drive is operational by examining the LEDs on the front panel, as described in Interpreting Disk Drive LEDs on page 2-2. In addition, examine the GUI Member Disks window and the CLI member select show disks command output. Installing the Bezel After you install all the replacement disk drives or blanks, re-install and lock the bezel. 2-8
