2 Installing the Software Navigating CLI Modes The FTOS prompt changes to indicate the CLI mode. You must move linearly through the command modes, with the exception of the end command which takes you directly to EXEC Privilege mode; the exit command moves you up one command mode level. Console Access NOTE: You must have a password configured on a virtual terminal line before you can Telnet into the system. Therefore, you must use a console connection when connecting to the system for the first time. Serial Console The RJ-45/RS-232 console port is labeled on the Z9000 chassis. It is in the upper right-hand side, as you face the I/O side of the chassis.
