Access the System Remotely You can configure the system to be accessed remotely by Telnet. The Z-Series has a dedicated management port and a management routing table that is separate from the IP routing table. Step Task 1 Configure an IP address for the management port. 2 Configure a management route with a default gateway. 3 Configure a username and password. Configure the Management Port IP Address Assign IP addresses to the management ports in order to access the system remotely. NOTE: Assign different IP addresses to each RPM's management port.
