Steps 1. Remove the (#6-32) screw that secures the 2.5-inch hard-drive assembly to the hard-drive and optical-drive bracket. 2. Disconnect the data and power cables from the connectors on the hard drive. 3. Lift and slide the 2.5-inch hard-drive assembly away from the hard-drive and optical-drive bracket. 4. Turn over and place the 2.5-inch hard-drive assembly on a flat surface. 5. In a reverse sequential order (4>3>2>1), remove the four (#6-32) screws that secure the 2.5-inch hard drive to the hard-drive cage. 6. Slide and remove the 2.5-inch hard drive from the hard-drive cage. Installing the 2.5-inch hard drive Prerequisites If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation process. Replace the (#6-32) screw to secure the 2.5-inch hard drive assembly to the hard-drive and optical-drive bracket. 5.
