2. Align the pin-1 indicator of the processor with the triangle on the socket. 3. Place the processor on the socket such that the slots on the processor align with the socket keys. 4. To remove the system fan: a) Disconnect the system fan cable from the connector on the system board [1]. b) Remove the tape that holds the intrusion switch cable on the system fan and move the cable away. c) Stretch the grommets securing the fan to the computer to ease the removal of the fan [2]. d) Slide the system fan out of the computer [3].
