Two panel doors on the top of the system provide access to the system board,
microprocessors, and expansion cards. The right panel door provides access to
the expansion slots; the left panel door opens to the microprocessor and
memory board (see Figure 1-5). The doors interlock so that the keylock on the
right-side panel door secures both doors and the fan assembly.
Follow these steps to open the computer panel doors:
1.
If necessary, unlock the right panel door (see Figure 1-5).
2.
Press the two slide latches to release the right top door and lift the door.
3.
Lift the left door.
When closing the panel doors, close the left door first and then the right door
so that the right door overlays the left door. The doors must be in this position
for the keylock to secure both doors properly.
