To remove the system board from the chassis, perform the following steps:
1.
Remove the system fan assembly.
2.
Remove the center brace.
The center brace is secured by two screws on the right side of the chassis
and one screw on the left, and both ends of the brace are hooked into the
chassis walls. Remove the screws and work the brace up out of the
chassis (see Figure 4-21).
3.
Disconnect all cables from the system board.
Be sure to record where each cable is attached.
4.
If you are migrating components (such as expansion cards, SEC cartridge/
heat sink assemblies, or guide bracket assemblies) to a replacement sys-
tem board, remove those components now.
Note the slot numbers of any PCI cards you are migrating to the new
system board so that you can install them in the same slots on the new
board.
