Installing the Keyboard 1. Connect the keyboard cable to the connector on the system board. 2. Slide the keyboard into the retention slots. 3. Press along the top edges to lock the keyboard in place. 4. Install the battery. 5. Follow the procedures in After Working Inside Your computer. Removing the Base Cover 1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer. 2. Remove: a. battery b. optical disk-drive c. access panel d. WLAN card e. hard drive f. memory module g. keyboard 3. Perform the following steps as shown in the illustration: a. Lift the tab to release the cable from the connector [1]. b. Disconnect the ODD cable from the system board [2]. c. Remove the screws from the palmrest [3]. 15

Installing the Keyboard
1.
Connect the keyboard cable to the connector on the system board.
