Fan Removing the fan 1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer. 2. Remove the base cover. The following images indicate the location of the fan and provide a visual representation of the removal procedure. 1. Disconnect the fan cable from the system board. 2. Remove the two (M2x3) screws that secure the fan to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly. 3. Lift the fan off the palm-rest and keyboard assembly. Installing the fan If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.
