Procedure 1 Align the screw holes on the touchpad with the screw holes on the palm-rest assembly. 2 Replace the four screws (M2x2) that secure the touchpad to the palm-rest assembly. 3 Slide the touchpad cable into the connector on the system board and close the latch to secure the cable. 4 Route the touchpad cable and adhere the cable to the keyboard and palm-rest assembly. Post-requisites 1 Replace the battery. 2 Replace the base cover. 46

Procedure
1
Align the screw holes on the touchpad with the screw holes on the palm-rest
assembly.

Replace the four screws (M2x2) that secure the touchpad to the palm-rest
assembly.

Slide the touchpad cable into the connector on the system board and close the
latch to secure the cable.

Route the touchpad cable and adhere the cable to the keyboard and palm-rest
assembly.
