Remove the battery. Procedure 1. Using a plastic scribe, disconnect the speaker cable from the system board. 2. Disconnect the LED and microphone cable from the I/O board. 3. Remove the two screws (M2x4) that secure the wireless-antenna bracket to the I/O board. 4. Using a plastic scribe, disconnect the antenna cables from the I/O board. 5. Remove the three screws (M2x4) that secure the Type-C USB bracket to the I/O board. 6. Remove the screw (M2x3) that secures the I/O board to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly. 7. Lift the I/O board off the palm-rest and keyboard assembly. 30 Removing the I/O board

Prerequisites
1.
Remove the
base cover
.
2.
Remove the
I/O-board interposers
.
3.
Remove the
battery
.
Procedure
1.
Using a plastic scribe, disconnect the speaker cable from the system board.
2.
Disconnect the LED and microphone cable from the I/O board.
3.
Remove the two screws (M2x4) that secure the wireless-antenna bracket to the I/O board.
4.
Using a plastic scribe, disconnect the antenna cables from the I/O board.
5.
Remove the three screws (M2x4) that secure the Type-C USB bracket to the I/O board.
6.
Remove the screw (M2x3) that secures the I/O board to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
7.
Lift the I/O board off the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
