Procedure NOTE: Step 2, 4, and 5 are applicable only for the computers that are shipped with fingerprint reader. 1. Place the power button and fingerprint reader (optional) into its slot on the palm-rest and keyboard assembly. 2. Replace the screw (M1.6x1.8) that secures the fingerprint-reader to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly. 3. Replace the screw (M2x1.7) that secures the power button to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly. 4. Adhere the tape that secures the power button cable to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly. 5. Adhere the fingerprint-reader cable to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly. 6. Connect the fingerprint-reader cable to the system board and close the latch. Post-requisites 1. Replace the I/O board. 2. Replace the battery. 3. Replace the I/O-board interposers. 4. Replace the base cover. Replacing the power button with fingerprint reader 39

Procedure
NOTE:
Step 2, 4, and 5 are applicable only for the computers that are shipped with fingerprint reader.
1.
Place the power button and fingerprint reader (optional) into its slot on the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
2.
Replace the screw (M1.6x1.8) that secures the fingerprint-reader to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
3.
Replace the screw (M2x1.7) that secures the power button to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
4.
Adhere the tape that secures the power button cable to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
5.
Adhere the fingerprint-reader cable to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
6.
Connect the fingerprint-reader cable to the system board and close the latch.
