ENGLISH Multi-source recording/playback [1] Playing one source while recording another (REC OUT mode) 1 Press the REC/MULTI button. REC / MULTI 2,4 2 B (Main unit) 2 With "RECOUT SOURCE" displayed, turn the FUNCTION FUNCTION knob to select the source you wish to record. • The "REC" indicator and the indicator of the selected (Main unit) source light. 3 Set the recording mode. • For operating instructions, refer to the manual of the component on which you want to record. 4 To cancel, turn the function knob and select "SOURCE". • When "SOURCE" is selected, the "REC" indicator turns off. FUNCTION (Main unit) 1 Display 2 REC PHONO CD TUNER DVD VDP TV / DBS VCR -1 -2 TAPE RECOUT SOURCE NOTES: • Recording sources other than digital inputs selected in the REC OUT mode are also output to the multi source audio output jacks. • Digital signals are not output from the REC SOURCE or audio output jacks. [2] Outputting a program source to an amplifier, etc., in a different room (MULTI mode) 1 Press the REC/MULTI button. The display switches as follows REC / MULTI each time the button is pressed. 2,4 2 B (Main unit) 2 With "M-SOURCE SOURCE" displayed, turn the FUNCTION FUNCTION knob and select the source you wish to output. • The "MULTI" indicator and the indicator of the selected (Main unit) source light. • When the AVR-2802 is the REC OUT mode, the source cannot be output using the MULTI button on the remote control unit. MULTI (Remote control unit) 3 Start playing the source to be output. • For operating instructions, refer to the manuals of the respective components. 4 To cancel, turn the function knob and select "SOURCE". FUNCTION • When "SOURCE" is selected, the "MULTI" indicator turns off. [3] Remote control unit operations during multi-source playback (selecting the source) 1 Set the slide switch to "AUDIO" and "MULTI". AUDIO TAPE CDR/MD CD MULTI AVR/AVC VIDEO DVD TV VDP VCR (Remote control unit) 2 Press the input source button. Example: CD CD 8 The multi source switches directly. (Remote Control unit) The remote control unit's MULTI button can be operated at positions other than "MULTI". The multi source switches in order each time the multi button is pressed. (Refer to ANOTHER ROOM on the diagram below.)
