Setting Oven Controls 13 Timers The timers can help keep track of timed cooking or food preparation times without interfering with any active cooking process. Timer settings: • Minimum set time: 1 minute • Maximum set time: 11 hours 59 minutes How to set the timer for 5 minutes: 1. Press timer on-off. Temperature Visual Display Your oven is equipped with a temperature visual display for each oven. When a cooking mode is set, the actual temperature will be shown in the display and will rise as the unit preheats. When the unit has reached its target temperature, a tone will sound to remind you to place the food in the oven. This feature will be active with bake, convection bake, and convection roast. The cooking modes which do not feature the temperature visual display will be noted in their descriptions. The lowest temperature that can be displayed is 100°F. 2. Enter 5 minutes using numeric key. 5 3. Press timer on-off to start timer. • To cancel an active timer press the timer on-off key. The timer does not start or stop the cooking process. The timer may be started alone or with any other active cooking feature. • The timer will display hours and minutes until 1 hour remains.When the timer countdown reaches less than 1 minute, the display will show the time remaining in seconds. When the time runs out the timer will chime, and the display will show 00:00. • If both the oven and the timer are active, the timer information will display by default. To momentarily display information for any other active feature, press the corresponding key once to display the desired feature. Interior Oven Lights Your appliance includes "theater" style oven lighting features that gradually lights the oven interior to full brightness. Both upper and lower ovens are equipped with 4 halogen lights. IMPORTANT! It is suggested that the oven lights remain off when baking delicate items such as cakes. They can be turned on momentarily to check baking progress, but should not be left on throughout the full bake time. The oven lights turn on automatically when the oven door is opened. The oven lights can be turned on when the door is closed by using the oven light key located on the control panel. Press the oven light icon to turn the interior oven lights on and off whenever the oven door is closed. Pressing the oven light key will turn on the oven lights in both ovens.The oven lights will not operate during a clean cycle. Changing Settings Software controls the upper and lower ovens so that both can be set to operate at the same time with unique settings. It is very important to understand that before setting or modifying either oven, you must first select which oven you want to set or modify. Select UPPER or LOWER OVEN depending on which oven you want to change settings. The interior oven lights are located both sides and in the upper rear corners of each oven cavity. Each light is covered with a glass shield.The glass shield must be in place whenever the oven is in use. To change the interior light, see "Replacing the Dual Left or Right Side Oven Lights" on page 36 in the "Care and Cleaning" section. You may toggle between either oven and make setting changes at any time.
