This bulletin is designed to give a list of tested VGA boards and recommendations for installation of both EGA and VGA boards in the Equity II. To date there has been no report of incompatibility between EGA boards and the Equity II. The key to a successful installation is to make sure that jumpers J1 and J2 on the system board are both in the default position (position 2), and that the system DIP switches are set for NO MONITOR (1 - 5 and 1 - 6 both up). The following VGA boards have been found to be compatible in the Equity II. Board Manufacturer VGA VGA/16 VGA+/16 VGA/16 Fastwrite VGA Tatung Epson America Paradise SOTA Technology Video - 7 The 16 - bit VGAWonder board from ATI has been found to be incompatible with the Equity II. It prevents the system from completing the boot procedure. As with the EGA board installation, it is necessary to make sure that jumpers J1 and J2 are in the default position (position 2) and that the system DIP switches are set for NO MONITOR (1 - 5 and 1 - 6 both up).
