Installing the Paper Feed Knob Now that you have decided where to locate your Apex80 printer, the first step in setting it up is installing the paper feed knob. Follow these steps: 1. Locate the paper feed knob, which is packed into an indentation in the white foam material. 2. Insert the knob into the hole on the right side of the printer, as shown in Figure 1-2. Gently rotate the knob until it fits over the shaft. Figure I-2. Paper feed knob installation 3. Push the knob in until it is flush with the printer case. Installing the Ribbon The Apex80 printer uses a continuous-loop, inked fabric ribbon. It is enclosed in a cartridge that makes ribbon installation and replacement a clean and easy job. Installing the Paper Feed Knob
Now that you have decided where to locate your Apex80 printer, the
first step in setting it up is installing the paper feed knob. Follow these
steps:
1. Locate the paper feed knob, which is packed into an indentation in
the white foam material.
2. Insert the knob into the hole on the right side of the printer, as
shown in Figure 1-2. Gently rotate the knob until it fits over the
shaft.

3. Push the knob in until it is flush with the printer case.
Installing the Ribbon
The Apex80 printer uses a continuous-loop, inked fabric ribbon. It is
enclosed in a cartridge that makes ribbon installation and replacement
a clean and easy job.
