Solving Problems If you have a problem with your Stylus Photo RX700, check the messages on the RX700 screen, run a nozzle check (see page 72), or see "Problems and Solutions" below. Setup and Software Installation Problems The Stylus Photo RX700 makes noise after you turn it on. ■ Make sure the scanner lock is in the unlocked position, as shown on the Start Here sheet. After releasing it, turn off the RX700, wait a moment, then turn it back on. ■ It is normal for the RX700 to make whirring sounds after you turn it on. The Stylus Photo RX700 makes noise after ink cartridge installation. ■ When you install ink cartridges, the RX700 must charge its ink delivery system. This takes about 3½ minutes. Do not turn off the RX700, or it will use extra ink the next time you turn it on. ■ Make sure no packing tape or material remains inside the RX700. Turn it off, wait a moment, then turn it back on. 75

Setup and Software Installation Problems
