Ganz GXi Series VCA Interface Manual V3.05.31.18 People Tracker The IPT uses advanced 3D camera technology to provide far superior tracking accuracy in busy scenes than is achievable on ordinary cameras. It is a special purpose device designed to track adults in walking or standing positions. IPT devices require a special IPT license to activate tracking. Once activated, the Enable/Disable page will then allow VCA to be enabled, as with other IPN devices. However, the only sub option available will be Object Tracking, which should be selected. Installation The device has a maximum range of 7 meters. The tracking will function best with tilt angle of 30 to 45 degrees. Overhead installations will function, but this is not recommended for best performance. The installation height should be at a minimum 2.5 meters, ideally 3 meters. For overhead installations, 3 meters is the minimum. The IPT is for indoor use only and installations in scenes which have the potential to be exposed to strong sunlight should be avoided. The device should be positioned such that there are not any parts of the scene visible at close range in the field of view.
