TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE SYMPTOM CAUSE SOLUTION Picture is distorted or jumps • MPEG-2 decoding during fast forward or reverse play • It is a normal artifact of DVD playback for pictures to jump or show some distortion during rapid play. Unit turns off by itself • Auto Power Off setting is active • Check Auto Power Off setting in GENERAL SETUP menu. Some remote buttons do not operate • Function not permitted at this time during DVD play; prohibited symbol Ø appears • With most discs, some functions are not permitted at certain times (e.g., Track Skip) or at all (e.g., direct audio track selection). The OSD menu is in a foreign language • Incorrect OSD language • Change the display language selection in the GENERAL SETUP menu.
