Reverse this procedure to reassemble and install the hard drive. Power button board Description Power button board (includes cable) Spare part number 776780-001 Before removing the power button board, follow these steps: 1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer. 3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer. 4. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 29), and then remove the following components: a. Optical drive (see Optical drive on page 34). b. Service door (see Service door on page 30). c. WLAN module (see WLAN module on page 32). d. Memory module (see Memory module on page 31). e. Keyboard (see Keyboard on page 36). f. Top cover (see Top cover on page 42). Remove the power button board: 1. Turn the top cover upside down, with the front toward you. 2. Remove the Phillips M2.5×2.5 screw (1) that secures the power button board to the top cover.
