HP traditional print drivers for Windows Figure 3-40 PostScript tab The PostScript tab contains the following controls and options: ● PostScript output format ● PostScript header ● Print PostScript error information ● PostScript timeout values ● Advanced... ● Restore Defaults PostScript output format Use the PostScript output format list to specify the format for PostScript files. The following options are available: ● PostScript (optimize for speed). Use this setting for printing most documents. ● Optimize for Portability. Use this setting to create a file that conforms to the Adobe Document Structuring Conventions (ADSC). Each page of the document will be a self-contained object. This is useful, for instance, if you want to create a PostScript file and print it on a different printer. ● Encapsulated PostScript (EPS). Use this setting to include the file as an image in another document that is to be printed from a different program. ● Archive Format. Use this setting to create a PostScript file that you can use later. ● PJL archive format. This setting notifies the printer that the document is being printed in a different printer language.
