Blank pages q The original might have been loaded upside down. In the ADF, load the original with the narrow side forward and the side to be scanned facing up. See Loading originals to copy or scan for instructions. q If you are getting blank pages when scanning from the flatbed scanner, make sure the original document is loaded correctly. Place the original document face down on the flatbed scanner with the top left corner of the document located in the lower right corner of the glass. q The media might not meet Hewlett-Packard's media specifications (for example, the media is too moist or too rough).
