Display assembly NOTE: All display assembly spare part kits include 2 WLAN antenna transceivers and cables. Description 15.4-inch, WXGA with BrightView 15.4-inch, WXGA Spare part number 456802-001 456801-001 Before removing the display assembly, follow these steps: 1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer. 3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 4. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 39). 5. Disconnect the wireless antenna cables from the WLAN module (see WLAN module on page 42). 6. Remove the following components: a. Keyboard (see Keyboard on page 50) b. Switch cover (see Switch cover on page 47) c. Speaker (see Speaker on page 53) d. Display lid switch module (see Display lid switch module on page 54) Remove the display assembly: 1. Disconnect the display panel cables (1) and (2) from the system board. 2. Remove the wireless antenna cables (3) from the clips and routing channels built into the top cover. Before removing the display assembly, follow these steps:

Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.

Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
