D2600/D2700 disk enclosure port information As shown in the following illustration: • SAS port P1: Labelled P1. Use this SAS expansion port for the connection towards the host. ◦ In zoned SAS environments, use this SAS expansion port to connect to the 6G SAS BL Switch ◦ In shared SAS environments, use this SAS expansion port to connect to the MSA 2040 SAS or P2000 G3 SAS MSA or MSA 2040 drive enclosure, P2000 drive enclosure, or D2600/D2700 disk enclosure. • SAS port P2: Labelled P2. ◦ In zoned SAS environments, this port is unused. (Cascading additional disk enclosures is not supported.) ◦ In shared SAS environments, use this SAS expansion port to connect (cascade) an additional disk enclosure. Because two I/O modules are installed in the enclosure, the I/O ports are referred to as follows: • Top I/O module: I/O module A, with the host port referred to as A1 and the expansion port referred to as A2 • Bottom I/O module: I/O module B, with the host port referred to as B1 and the expansion port referred to as B2.
