6 Integration with HP TopTools TopTools Properties Page for e-DiagTools (Targeting One PC at a Time) Diagnose and TroubleShoot The Diagnose and Troubleshoot tab of the e-DiagTools Properties page presents different options if the target machine is either ON or OFF. Remote Machine ON: • Launch e-DiagTools: this command enables the Administrator to remotely execute e-DiagTools on this PC (see illustration below). Clicking this button will force the target PC to reboot, execute e-DiagTools, and when complete will restart Windows. This button is only enabled when the user is the Administrator or the Operator; for all other users it is disabled. • e-DiagTools system tests results: TopTools Device Manager is able to retrieve the eDiagTools Support Ticket from a targeted PC and display a summary in its Properties Page for e-DiagTools. TopTools also includes a brief explanation of the Support Ticket information. • Connect to HP Instant Support: this command enables the Administrator to connect to the web troubleshooting e-support tool and rapidly receive HP Support repair advice. 30
