Installation overview The printing system includes software for end users and network administrators, and print drivers for access to the product features and communication with the computer. NOTE: For a list of print drivers and updated HP product software, go to www.hp.com/go/ ljcp5220series_software. The following drivers are not included on the CD, but are available from www.hp.com/go/ ljcp5220series_software. ● HP PostScript (PS) Universal Print Driver ● Linux drivers ● UNIX Installation is similar for all supported Windows operating systems. For Windows systems, the person installing the software must have administrator rights on the system. When the HP Color LaserJet CP5220 Series printing-system installer runs, the HP LaserJet uninstaller is added to the system. ● Software installation types for Windows ● Install drivers using a CD Software installation types for Windows The software installer instructs you when to connect the product to a computer or a network. At that point in the process, the installer determines the operating system and determines whether to perform a "full" installation or a "minimal" installation. Note that, unlike previous products, the installer interface does not provide a means to choose which installation package gets installed. The software makes this decision automatically. After the initial installation, the user can choose to install more software by clicking the Install More Product Software button in the Welcome Back screen.
