If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer. 3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet, and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. Remove the keyboard/top cover: 1. Remove the rear (1) and front rubber foot strips (2). The rubber foot strips are included in the Rubber Kit, spare part numbers L19528-001 (in natural silver finish) and L19529-001 (in pale gold finish). 2. Remove the following screws that secure the bottom cover to the computer: (3) Five Phillips M2.5×6.6 screws (under the rear rubber foot strip) (4) Two Phillips M2.0×3.3 screws (under the front rubber foot strip) (5) Two Torx5 M2.0×4.3 screws (front edge of the computer) 3.
