Front speakers Description Front speakers (include left and right front speakers, cables, and four rubber isolators) Spare part number L19530-001 Before removing the front speakers, follow these steps: 1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet, and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer. 4. Remove the keyboard/top cover (see Bottom cover on page 26). 5. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (see Battery on page 28). Remove the front speakers: 1. Disconnect the front speaker cable (1) from the system board. 2. Release the front speaker cable (2) from the retention channel/retention clips built into the keyboard/ top cover. 3. Remove the two Phillips M2.0×5.7 shoulder screws (3) that secure the front speakers to the keyboard/ top cover. 4. Remove the speakers (4). NOTE: Take note of the location and condition of the four rubber speaker isolators (5). The absence of or damage to these isolators can degrade the front speaker performance. Reverse this procedure to install the front speakers. Component replacement procedures 33

Before removing the front speakers, follow these steps:
1.
Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn
the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet, and
then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
3.
Disconnect all external devices from the computer.
4.
Remove the keyboard/top cover (see

5.
Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (see

Remove the front speakers:
1.
Disconnect the front speaker cable

from the system board.
2.
Release the front speaker cable

top cover.
3.
Remove the two Phillips M2.0×5.7 shoulder screws

that secure the front speakers to the keyboard/
top cover.
4.
Remove the speakers
