Display assembly To remove and disassemble the display assembly, use these procedures and illustrations. NOTE: The display assembly is spared at the subcomponent level. For display assembly spare part information, see the individual removal subsections. Before removing the display panel, follow these steps: 1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for disassembly on page 28). 2. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 28). 3. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (see Battery on page 29). Remove the display assembly: 1. Remove the four Phillips M2.5 × 4.5 screws that secure the display assembly to the computer. 2. Lift the tape (1) that covers the display connector on the system board. You do not have to completely remove the tape. 3. Disconnect the display cable (2) from the ZIF connector on the system board. 4. Lift the tape (3) that covers the display camera connector on the system board. You do not have to completely remove the tape. 5. Disconnect the cable (4) from the ZIF connector on the system board. 6. Remove the Phillips M2.0 × 3.0 screw (5) that secures from the bracket on the WWAN module, and then remove the bracket (6). Display assembly
To remove and disassemble the display assembly, use these procedures and illustrations.
NOTE:
The display assembly is spared at the subcomponent level. For display assembly spare part

Before removing the display panel, follow these steps:
1.
Prepare the computer for disassembly (

2.
Remove the bottom cover (see

3.
Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (see

).
Remove the display assembly:
1.
Remove the four Phillips M2.5 × 4.5 screws that secure the display assembly to the computer.
2.
Lift the tape

that covers the display connector on the system board. You do not have to
completely remove the tape.
3.
Disconnect the display cable
