Speakers Removal and replacement procedures Description Speakers (2) Spare part number 600848-001 Before removing the speakers: 1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer. 3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first disconnecting the power cord from the AC outlet and then disconnecting the AC adapter from the computer. 4. Remove the battery (see "Battery" on page 4-7). 5. Remove the hard drive (see "Hard drive" on page 4-8). 6. Remove the memory module (see "Memory module" on page 4-11). 7. Remove the wireless module (see "Wireless module" on page 4-13). 8. Remove the optical drive (see "Optical drive" on page 4-16). 9. Remove the keyboard (see "Keyboard" on page 4-18). Remove the speakers: 1. Turn the computer upside down with the rear of the computer toward you. 2. Remove the three Phillips PM2.5×5.0 screws inside the battery bay that secure the speaker assembly to the base enclosure. 3. Turn the computer right-side up with the front toward you. 4. Speakers
Before removing the speakers:
1.
Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on,
and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first disconnecting the power cord from the AC outlet and then
disconnecting the AC adapter from the computer.
