2. Uninstall each cover screw (one at a time)Clean each screw with IPAAdd Loctite 242/Omnifit 100. Reinstall each cover screw. Figure 5-23 Front and rear bearing cover screws 3. Set the torque wrench to 1 Nm force. 4. Tighten the 3 rear bearing cover screws as shown below. Start at the screw shown below. Work in a clockwise direction. Figure 5-24 Tightening the cover screws 5. Move to the front bearing and tighten the 3 cover screws, starting with the screw located at the 12 o'clock position. 6. Set the torque wrench to 2 Nm. Tighten the three front bearing cover screws again. 7. Move to the rear bearing. Tighten the three rear bearing cover screws again to 2 Nm. 8. Set the torque wrench to 3 Nm. Tighten the three rear bearing cover screws again. 9. Move to the front bearing. Tighten the three front bearing cover screws again to 3 Nm. 10. Set the torque wrench to 4 Nm. 2 Nm

Set the torque wrench to
3 Nm
. Tighten the three
rear
bearing cover screws again.
9.
Move to the
front
bearing. Tighten the three
front
bearing cover screws again to
3 Nm
.
10.
Set the torque wrench to
4 Nm
. Tighten the three
front
bearing cover screws again.
