Principles of Operation The resistance change, usually measured using a Wheatstone bridge, is related to the strain by the quantity known as the gauge factor By using a Wheatstone bridge, it is possible to compensate for temperature changes The measured voltage is proportional to the strain, and - HP Indigo W7250 | Strain Gauge Second Transfer Measurement Service and Troublesh - Page 7
The following diagrams shows what might happen if a strip of metal were fitted with four gauges: see the values change as the forces/positions change: Figure 2-3 Wheatstone bridge force diagram at different positions Signal flow The following figure shows the signal flow between the electrical - HP Indigo W7250 | Strain Gauge Second Transfer Measurement Service and Troublesh - Page 8

Troubleshooting Troubleshoot the second transfer measurement strain gauget. Zero reading in 2nd Transfer Wizard In case of "0" reading at the 2nd transfer wizard, check of 2nd transfer can happen if the torque bushings open. The torque should be 25 nm Figure 2-15 Torque bushings Troubleshooting 11 - HP Indigo W7250 | Strain Gauge Second Transfer Measurement Service and Troublesh - Page 14
