Uninstalling any Embedded Audio Drivers 1 Installing Your Multimedia Sound Kit Installing the Accessory Software Under OS/2 Warp Installing the Sound Board Driver The driver software for the sound board is on your HP Multimedia Sound CD. If you already have OS/2 Warp installed with any embedded audio driver on your system, you must uninstall the Multimedia Software Support under OS/2, and then reinstall the Multimedia Software Support. To do this: 1 With OS/2 running, double-click on the OS/2 System folder and then double-click on the System Setup folder. 2 Double-click on the Selective Uninstall program. 3 Click on the box next to Multimedia Software Support, and then click on the Uninstall button. 4 Click on the OK button, and then click on the Yes button. 5 At the confirmation message, click on the OK button and then the Cancel button. 6 Shut down and restart the PC. Installing the Sound Board Driver
The driver software for the sound board is on your
HP Multimedia
Sound
CD.
If you already have OS/2 Warp installed with any embedded audio
driver on your system, you must uninstall the Multimedia Software
Support under OS/2, and then reinstall the Multimedia Software
Support. To do this:

double-click on the System Setup folder.

Double-click on the Selective Uninstall program.

Click on the box next to Multimedia Software Support, and then click
on the Uninstall button.

Click on the OK button, and then click on the Yes button.

At the confirmation message, click on the OK button and then the
Cancel button.

Shut down and restart the PC. (If an error message appears when
you restart the PC, see “Troubleshooting” on page 16.)

Double-click on the OS/2 System folder and then double-click on the
System Setup folder.

Double-click on the Selective Install folder.

Click on the icon next to the Multimedia Device Support option.

Click on the << Remove button to remove any audio drivers that are
in the right-hand-side window.

Click on the OK button. The System Configuration screen re-
appears. Check that None is selected under Multimedia Device
Support.

Click on the OK button, and make sure Multimedia Software Support
is selected.

Click on the Install button. Follow the instructions that appear on the
screen.

Restart the PC.
