To bring the disk share online, right click the Disk Group and select Bring Online. Repeat the above procedure from "Setting up an IP Address" to create a disk share for the remaining Disk Group (i.e., 1 or 2). Distributing Groups on the Cluster 1. Move one of the Disk Groups to the other node by right clicking on one of the groups and selecting Move Group. 2. Verify each node of the cluster owns one of the disk groups by selecting each of the disk groups in turn and checking each is owned by a different node. Run the Cluster Installation Test on the Client System: 1. Download the self-extracting archive to the cluster client that will run the test. 2. Execute the archive to unpack it. 3. Run setup.exe to install the test. 4. Map the cluster nodes' local disks to drive letters on the client system. In Windows NT Explorer, pick Tools | Map Network Drive. The paths to the two cluster nodes' local disks will be \\\C$. 5. Map the cluster file shares to drive letters on the client system. In Windows NT Explorer, pick Tools | Map Network Drive. The paths to the two cluster file shares will be the network name followed by the file share name, e.g., \\cluster_u\disk_u. 6. Copy the file MSVBVM50.dll from the %windir%/System32 directory on the client to %windir%\system32 on each cluster node. 7. Execute CIT.exe on the client to run the test. 8. After the Cluster Installation Test completes, clean up the cluster and client: • Remove the Cluster Installation Test files from the client. • Remove the MSVBVM50.dll from %windir%/System32 on the client. • Remove the MSVBVM50.dll from %windir%/System32 on each cluster node. • Remove the \Test directory from the local drives on each cluster node. • Delete the three resources you added to each of the two disk groups on the cluster. Distributing Groups on the Cluster
1.
Move one of the Disk Groups to the other node by right clicking on one of the groups and selecting Move
Group.
2.
Verify each node of the cluster owns one of the disk groups by selecting each of the disk groups in turn and
checking each is owned by a different node.
Run the Cluster Installation Test on the Client System:
1.
Download the self-extracting archive to the cluster client that will run the test.
2.
Execute the archive to unpack it.
3.
Run setup.exe to install the test.
4.
Map the cluster nodes’ local disks to drive letters on the client system.
In Windows NT Explorer, pick
Tools | Map Network Drive.
The paths to the two cluster nodes’ local disks will be \\<node name>\C$.
5.
Map the cluster file shares to drive letters on the client system.
In Windows NT Explorer, pick Tools | Map
Network Drive.
The paths to the two cluster file shares will be the network name followed by the file share
name, e.g., \\cluster_u\disk_u.
6.
Copy the file MSVBVM50.dll from the %windir%/System32 directory on the client to
%windir%\system32 on each cluster node.
7.
Execute CIT.exe on the client to run the test.
8.
After the Cluster Installation Test completes, clean up the cluster and client:
Remove the Cluster Installation Test files from the client.
Remove the MSVBVM50.dll from %windir%/System32 on the client.
Remove the MSVBVM50.dll from %windir%/System32 on each cluster node.
Remove the \Test directory from the local drives on each cluster node.
Delete the three resources you added to each of the two disk groups on the cluster.
