CAUTION Close all retaining clips on the memory board before inserting it into your NetServer. This includes clips on empty slots as well as those on slots containing DIMMs. This facilitates insertion of the memory board. 9. Replace the memory board. See "Replacing the Memory Board." Replacing the Memory Board Once you have installed the DIMMs required for your desired configuration, do the following: 1. Locate the memory board slot. 2. Hold the memory board by its corners, with the component side down. Position it so the end with the connector points into the memory bay opening. 3. Insert the memory board into the guide rails on either side of the memory board slot. Slide the memory board into the memory board bay until it seats against the slot at the rear of the bay. See Figure 2-11. 25

Replacing the Memory Board
Once you have installed the DIMMs required for your desired
configuration, do the following:
1.
Locate the memory board slot.
2.
Hold the memory board by its corners, with the component side
down. Position it so the end with the connector points into the
memory bay opening.
3.
Insert the memory board into the guide rails on either side of the
memory board slot. Slide the memory board into the memory
board bay until it seats against the slot at the rear of the bay. See
Figure 2-11.
