Use the MS DOS diskettes to create a 20-50 MB DOS partition on drive C. Format the partition and install the DOS operating system. 2. Use the CD-ROM drivers for DOS and configure the system to have access to the CD-ROM drive. 3. Insert the HP NetServer Navigator CD in the CD-ROM drive and boot the HP NetServer. 4. Follow the instructions from the HP NetServer Navigator to configure NetRAID disk array and create a drivers diskette. The following procedures refer to this diskette as the "Drivers Diskette". NOTE Configuring NetRAID includes configuring the type of array you want and initializing the hard drives. However, if you use the RAID 0 and RAID 1, you do NOT have to initialize the drives. 5. Press the F3 key to continue without loading the driver since we will use the HP NetRAID drivers on the "Drivers Diskette" 8.
