Add-On Devices Connecting External Devices • Attach the audio cable to the corresponding audio port on the computer or port replicator. Note 1. Audio out (headphones). 2. External microphone. 3. Volume control (on certain models). 4. Audio mute button and audio mute light (on certain models). If your model has a built-in microphone and you plug a device into the external microphone port, the built-in microphone automatically turns off. When you plug a device into the headphone port, the built-in speakers automatically turn off.
