Problem Possible cause Solution The camera does not respond when I press a button. The camera is off. The camera is connected to a computer. Slide the lens cover open to turn the camera on (if you want to take a photo) or turn on the image LCD (if you want to review your photos). If the status LCD displays the letters PC, the camera buttons do not respond. The batteries are empty. Replace the batteries (see "Replacing batteries" on page 75). -Continued (next page)- You have an AC power adapter connected to the camera, but not connected to a power source. When you have an AC adapter connected to the camera, the camera will not use battery power even if the adapter is not connected to a power source.
