Understanding the status screen The status screen appears for several seconds any time you press the Flash button or the Mode button. See Using the flash on page 25 and Changing capture modes on page 27. The main part of the status screen shows the current Image Quality setting, pictures remaining, battery level (or AC adapter), flash setting, and the current capture mode setting (Self-Timer, Action, or Normal). Here is the list of icons you might see on the status screen and what they mean.
