Air baffle To remove the component: CAUTION: For proper cooling, do not operate the server without the access panel, baffles, expansion slot covers, or blanks installed. If the server supports hot-plug components, minimize the amount of time the access panel is open. 1. Power down the server (on page 27). 2. Remove all power: a. Disconnect each power cord from the power source. b. Disconnect each power cord from the server. 3. Unlock the tower bezel (on page 26). 4. Remove the access panel ("Access panel" on page 31). 5. Remove the air baffle. To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure. Optical drive CAUTION: To prevent improper cooling and thermal damage, do not operate the server unless all bays are populated with either a component or a blank. To remove the component: 1. Power down the server (on page 27). 2. Remove all power: a. Disconnect each power cord from the power source. b. Disconnect each power cord from the server. 3.
