Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer. 3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer. 4. Remove the keyboard/top cover (see Keyboard/top cover on page 17). 5. Remove the WLAN module (see WLAN module on page 23). 6. Remove the rear speakers (see Rear speakers on page 26). Remove the system board: 1. Disconnect the front speaker cable (1) from the system board. 2. Disconnect the display panel cable (2) from the system board. 3. Release the ZIF connector (3) to which the USB board cable is attached, and then disconnect the USB board cable from the system board. System board 31

Before replacing the system board, follow these steps:
1.
Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.
3.
Disconnect all external devices from the computer.
4.
Remove the keyboard/top cover (see

5.
Remove the WLAN module (see

).
6.
Remove the rear speakers (see
Rear speakers
on page
26
).
Remove the system board:
1.
Disconnect the front speaker cable
(1)
from the system board.
2.
Disconnect the display panel cable
(2)
from the system board.
3.
Release the ZIF connector
(3)
to which the USB board cable is attached, and then disconnect the
USB board cable from the system board.
