Glossary active field-replaceable unit Active FRU. An FRU that is currently operating as the active, and not the backup FRU. See also backup field-replaceable unit. active port address matrix In S/390 mode, an active port address matrix is the port address matrix that is currently active or operational on an attached Director or Switch.
