When additional port capacity is required, the remaining ports are enabled (in eight-port increments) through purchase of this feature. • SANtegrity - This feature enhances security in SANs, which is valuable in SANs that contain a large or heterogeneous group of fabrics and attached devices. After purchasing a feature, obtain the required feature key from the website to which the feature documentation directs you. A feature key is an alphanumeric string consisting of both uppercase and lowercase characters. The total number of characters may vary depending on keys and serial number. The feature key is case sensitive and must be entered exactly, including dashes. Feature keys use a format similar to the following: XxXx-XXxX-xxXX-xX. NOTE: You must be logged in with Administrator-level rights to install feature keys. NOTE: With firmware 03.00.00 or earlier, the product must be offline before a feature can be enabled. Also, if the new feature key removes existing functionality, the product must be offline during this process. Configuring the Product
Installing Feature Keys
Perform this procedure to install one or more of the following optional features:
OSMS
— This feature allows open systems host control of the product.
Flexport
— A Flexport switch is delivered at a discount with only a portion of the
switch’s ports enabled. When additional port capacity is required, the remaining
ports are enabled (in eight-port increments) through purchase of this feature.
SANtegrity
— This feature enhances security in SANs, which is valuable in
SANs that contain a large or heterogeneous group of fabrics and attached devices.
After purchasing a feature, obtain the required feature key from the website to which
