Installing HP MPIO MSA DSM software You can install HP MPIO MSA DSM on a stand-alone system or cluster configuration. The procedure that you follow depends on your current system configuration. This section describes how to install HP MPIO MSA DSM on the following configurations: • Installing HP MPIO MSA DSM on stand-alone systems • Installing HP MPIO MSA DSM on cluster configurations Installing HP MPIO MSA DSM on stand-alone systems You can install this software prior to attaching the hardware. To install the HP MPIO MSA DSM on a stand-alone system: 1. Complete the pre-installation checklist (Table 2) and the pre-installation procedure. 2. Ensure that only a single path is connected to the storage devices. 3. Configure the storage sets. 4. Run Launch.exe from the installation location. 5. In the launch window, click HP MPIO Full Featured DSM for MSA1000/1500 (Active-Active) Disk Arrays. NOTE: For Microsoft Windows Server 2008 - Server Core (x86 and x64), you can run Launch.exe from the installation location, using the command prompt. 6. Read the information displayed on your screen to complete the installation. 7.
