Display assembly, If it is necessary to replace the display bezel

Display assembly NOTE: The display assembly is spared at the subcomponent level only. For display assembly spare part information, see the individual removal subsections. Before removing the display assembly, follow these steps: 1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer. 3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer. 4. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 23). 5. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (see Battery on page 24). Remove the display assembly: 1. Remove the WLAN antennas from the routing path in the computer (1). 2. Remove the four Phillips PM2.5×5.0 screws (2) that secure the display assembly to the computer. 3. Lift the display assembly from the computer (3). 4. If it is necessary to replace the display bezel: a. Flex the inside edges of the top edge (1), the left and right sides (2), and the bottom edge (3) of the display bezel until the bezel disengages from the display back cover. b. Remove the display bezel (4). The display bezel is available using spare part number 905559-001 for blue models, 905689-001 for purple models, and 910177-001 for white models. Display assembly

Before removing the display assembly, follow these steps:
1.
Turn
off
the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is
off
or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.
3.
Disconnect all external devices from the computer.
4.
Remove the bottom cover (see

).
5.
Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (see
Battery
on page
24
).
Remove the display assembly:
1.
Remove the WLAN antennas from the routing path in the computer

3.
Lift the display assembly from the computer

4.
If it is necessary to replace the display bezel:
a.
Flex the inside edges of the top edge

the display bezel until the bezel disengages from the display back cover.
b.
Remove the display bezel

The display bezel is available using spare part number 905559-001 for blue models, 905689-001
for purple models, and 910177-001 for white models.
