Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer. 3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer. 4. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 23). 5. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (see Battery on page 24). 6. Remove the display assembly (see Display assembly on page 35). Remove the power button board: 1. Disconnect the cable from the power button board (1). 2. Remove the PM2.0×3.0 screw (2) that secures the power button board to the computer. 3. Lift the board from the computer (3). Reverse this procedure to install the power button board. Before removing the power button board, follow these steps:
1.

4.

Remove the power button board:
1.
Disconnect the cable from the power button board

2.

that secures the power button board to the computer.
3.
Lift the board from the computer
