syncOnce and querySyncstatus commands The syncOnce and querySyncStatus command sequence is: 1. SRM makes a request to RM SRA with the syncOnce command to be synchronized and executes periodic querySyncStatus commands to check replication progress using syncID returned by syncOnce. Checking continues until replication completes or times out. 2. RM SRA connects to a RAID Manager instance and, using RAID Manager commands, requests finding the sync status on the source device returned by the protection arrays. 3. RM SRA returns SyncID and Sync status for the specified consistency group and/or source device. 4. SRM follows with querySyncStatus commands to initiate and monitor data transfer. NOTE: During configuration setup, the syncOnce and querySyncstatus commands must be executed from the protection site as replication source. RMSRA20 local configuration The configuration in Figure 2 (page 10) is an example of a configured RMSRA20 using a local connection on a Windows machine. Both VC/RMSRA20s are configured on Windows2003. Figure 2 RMSRA20 configuration using local connection RMSRA20 is configured by SRA command.pl as interface adapter and RMSRA20 command. In local connection, RA command.pl calls only the RMSRA20 command. If CM is in Authentication 10 VMware Site Recovery Manager overview
