Status Register 7 654 3 2 1 0 BSY RDY DF DSC DRQ COR IDX ERR 0 V0V - 0 - V The Write Multiple Ext command transfers one or more sectors from the host to the device, then the data is written to the disk media. Command execution is identical to the Write Sector(s) Ext command except that an interrupt is generated for each block (as defined by the Set Multiple command) instead of for each sector. The sectors are transferred through the Data Register 16 bits at a time. Output parameters to the device Sector Count Current The number of continuous sectors to be transferred low order, bits (7-0). Sector Count Previous The number of continuous sectors to be transferred high order bits (15-8). If zero is speci- fied in the Sector Count register, then 65,536 sectors will be transferred.
