3 BASIC OPERATION ■ Call procedure 1 When your system employs tone signalling (excluding CTCSS and 2 DTCS), the tone call procedure may be necessary prior to voice 3 transmission. The tone signalling that is employed in the transceiver may be a selective calling system, which allows you to call only 4 specific station(s), and prevent unwanted stations from contacting you. 5 6 q Select a desired TX code channel or 2/5-tone code, according to your System Operator's instructions. 7 • This may not be necessary, depending on programming. 8 w Push [Call] (assigned to one of the dealer programmable keys.)
