3 BASIC OPERATION ■ Call procedure 1 When your system employs tone signalling (excluding CTCSS and 2 DTCS), the tone call procedure may be necessary prior to voice 3 transmission. The tone signalling that is employed in the transceiver may be a selective calling system, which allows you to call only 4 specific station(s), and prevent unwanted stations from contacting you. 5 6 q Select a desired TX code channel or 2/5-tone code, according to your System Operator's instructions. 7 • This may not be necessary, depending on programming. 8 w Push [Call] (assigned to one of the dealer programmable keys.) Call procedure
When your system employs tone signalling (excluding CTCSS and
DTCS), the tone call procedure may be necessary prior to voice
transmission. The tone signalling that is employed in the transceiver
may be a selective calling system, which allows you to call only

you.

your System Operator’s instructions.
